Mr. George Nelson

George Nelson (aka Zach K.) was born in 1901 to Frank and Suzanne Nelson of Richmond, Virigina.  Like his wife, George was raised in a very well-to-do family.  George first worked for his father's business, Nelson Shoe Factory.  George began by boxing shoes off the assembly line.  Since then, George had been promoted to quality inspector.  And in 1932, he was promoted to factory supervisor with relocation to the LaPorte, Indiana branch.  Despite moving many miles from his parents, George had to do what was best for his family.  When he comes home from work, George likes to sit in his comfy chair near the fireplace in the living room, read the newspaper, and puff on his corn-cob pipe.  He also likes to go out bowling with the guys from work.  George has a soft spot for animals, especially puppies.  He loves dogs, but can be very emotional around them.  Playing with a dog for a long period of time makes him cry - perhaps because his childhood pet Maxwell (a Scottish terrier) was killed while chasing an ice cream truck.  Needless to say, he also cries while eating ice cream.
