2008 Volunteers

Did you know that LaPorte, IN houses the reigning World Prop Crew Champions?!  It's true!  The LaPorte High School Prop Crew is the first and only World Champion prop crew.  Maybe it's because they have so much fun....maybe it's because they care.  Either way, we would like to take time to show our appreciation for the parents and other volunteers who donate their time and energy to make sure things fall into place. Volunteers are a huge and (always) vital part of the LaPorte Winter Guard - without them, the show would not be possible. These dedicated persons do more than just set up walls and pull out a tarp.  They do everything from making flags and uniforms to cooking meals to taking care of those who do not feel well. Many times they are up later/earlier than everyone else to lend a helping hand. They do the "behind the scenes" work that, many times, we don't see but affects us greatly. Sometimes it may seem we take their help for granted, but we would like them to know that we do recognize it and can not express how much we appreciate their help.  A big "Thank you" goes out to the volunteers who will sacrifice their time throughout the entire 2008 season.
