Mrs. Henrietta Nelson

Born in 1904 Henrietta (Harris) Nelson (aka Amanda B), is the daughter of Marvin and Mabel Harris.  Henrietta -or Hennie, as her parents called her- was born into a wealthy family, living in Richmond, Virginia.  She is a stay-at-home mother and like her mother, loves to cook.  (Cookies are her specialty.)  Henrietta is very loyal to her husband and family.  She loves to host elegant parties for her family and friends.  While she doesn't act like she wants attention, deep down she just loves finding ways to show off her wonderful house.  During her down time of the day, Henrietta likes to relax and do the daily crossword puzzle.  She also likes to read by herself or to her youngest daughters.  Being a greenthumb, Henrietta is known for having the prettiest garden in town.  She takes great pride in her flowers and shrubberies.  Currently she is a three-time, defending Rhododendron Champion at the LaPorte County Fair.
